In early 2026, a leading logistics firm in Ghana ordered a 40ft 3-axle skeleton semi-trailer from our factory, designed for intermodal container transport between Tema Port and inland depots. The client required robust construction to handle Ghana’s uneven rural roads and frequent heavy container loads.
We engineered the trailer with Q345 high-strength steel main beams, reinforced suspension brackets, and 12 sets of ISO container locks to secure 20ft/40ft containers. It was equipped with a heavy-duty mechanical suspension system and ABS braking, ideal for West Africa’s demanding transport conditions.
For shipment, we used Ro-Ro (Roll-on/Roll-off) service from a Chinese port to Tema Port, Ghana—the most efficient method for heavy trailers. Our logistics team prepared full documentation: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, and GSA-approved CoC certification to meet Ghana’s import regulations. We also secured the BSC electronic tracking note mandatory for customs clearance.
The voyage took 35 days. Upon arrival, our local agent managed customs clearance, paying applicable duties (12.5% VAT, 2.5% NHIL, 2.5% GETFund Levy). The trailer was inspected and released within 7 days, then delivered to the client’s depot in Accra.
Post-delivery, the client reported excellent performance: stable operation on rough roads, secure container handling, and minimal maintenance. This project demonstrates our ability to deliver durable, compliant, and cost-effective skeleton trailers tailored for Ghana’s logistics sector.
